Riot could potentially remove Chemtech Drake out of League?

The Chemtech Drake has been the focus of considerable debate to begin in Season 12 — so much that Riot is considering eliminating it owing to player criticism

The devs are awaiting survey findings before making any adjustments, although this may happen as soon as a few weeks after the product is out. To begin Season 12, the Chemtech Dragon in League of Legends has caused quite a stir.  The aim has been dubbed “broken” by gamers since its release in the preseason, owing to both the buff it offers and the new camouflage zone features.

While Riot has attempted to address the issues caused by the Chemtech Soul bonus and the camouflage features, it may not be enough until it gets a massive rework.

The devs have now confessed that they may have to make the dramatic decision of removing it entirely from League.  If they do so, it will be one of the few occasions in League of Legends’ history that a feature has been implemented and subsequently deleted in a matter of weeks.

RiotAxes had commented on a Reddit post about the mistake of adding Chemtech Drake to the game, stating:

“We’re fielding a survey. It’ll be a bit before we get results. The reddit and English-speaking social media backlash is clear, but that hasn’t always meant players overall disliked a feature in the past.”

Chemtech Drake is, without a doubt, one of the worst features to occur in the preseason 2022 for various reasons: multiple bugs, overpowered buffs and soul, and unplayable mechanics to play against. The dragon may provide more fascinating games, but it also has the potential to dramatically damage the games in which it appears. The Chemtech Drake introduces an entirely new threat to League, from changing dragon priority even farther in favor of team fights

The Chemtech Drake introduces an entirely new threat to League, from changing dragon priority even farther in favor of team fights that can control around the river to eliminating for vision control.

While Riot is more likely to continue adjusting the Chemtech Drake as they have, if the negative feedback in the survey is substantial, they may remove it entirely.

For the time being, players will have to cope with its Drake, Soul, and the camouflage zone until Riot decides in the future.
