Riot mysteriously updated Kai’Sa splash art and what it actually means

New Corrupted Kai’Sa could hint at a possible Void jungler or the Void event?

If you’re a fan of the Void and regularly stay up to date with Riot’s steps, you’ll know that the company has been speculating about a potential Void Event coming soon. Because Bel’Veth will play a significant role in this event, her release might connect with it.

But now Riot has released a brand-new Kai’Sa splash art, which might be the sign we’ve been looking for that the Void Event, as well as Bel’Veth, will be arriving in Patch 12.11 or 12.12. Riot updated The Daughter of the Void splash art on the League of Legends Universe website on May 17.

The splash graphic depicts her being corrupted by the Void — most likely by Bel’Veth, the empress of the Void and the next League of Legends Void champion — with a swarm of Void fish in the backdrop, which has long been a symbol for Bel’Veth.

We already know that the upcoming Void champion will feature a swarm ability as part of her passive, so this might bring us one step closer to experiencing the champion.

Not only that, but some of the void from the initial Kai’Sa splash art have vanished, most likely due to their empress’ will and take over Runeterra and spread the purple sea. This is also the first indication at Bel’Veth’s release and the Void Event that we’ve received in a long time.

League of Legends Patch 12.10 will be released next week, and it will include a slew of durability adjustments. It’s possible that Bel’Veth has been delayed as a result of these adjustments, but with the Kai’Sa splash being modified on her universe page, we may expect something coming very soon.
