Gadgets & Gizmos’ mid-set update has been revealed, with TFT: Neon Nights to follow
Riot Games’ Teamfight Tactics developers released a statement detailing their intentions for the mid-set change, TFT set 7, and even more.
After Gizmos and Gadgets, Teamfight Tactics: Neon Nights delivers major modifications. Gadgets & Gizmos is coming to an end, and Teamfight Tactics: Neon Nights will take its place around February. The Piltover-themed set will be updated to meet the Debonair skin line’s high-style, high-life style. Debonair is set in a fantasy city that is full of magic and mystery.
Given how recently the Debonair 2.0 event and how it took over the League of Legends client lately, it’s not unexpected to see Teamfight Tactics bring it back into the forefront. Riot discusses the game mode forthcoming event, the Lunar Festival, before revealing some specifics about the future update.
TFT: Neon Nights will have the Academy and Imperial removed
TFT will eliminate two traits from Gizmos and Gadgets with the mid-set update, with Imperial and Academy receiving the ax. Some units, like Leona, will probably get new traits, but the Academy and any related Hextech Augments will be removed.
The same goes for Imperial, with some other units coming arriving to take their place. With the addition of the new units coming to Neon Nights, Lucian, Brand, Sivir, Corki, Kha’Zix, Alistar have all been announced. Especially, the main antagonist of the Netflix series Arcane, Silco, is also being introduced for the first time.
Other Hextech Augments will be added and removed to protect TFT’s most popular set from becoming outdated.
Other modifications are yet unknown, but will be revealed when Neon Nights reaches the PBE servers.
