While it’s impressive to simply look at the number of titles Faker has amassed, it’s equally important to recognize the effort required to achieve these results.
Over the years, Faker has led his teams to victory, eliminating numerous opponents and continually proving his dominance. It’s not just his titles that define him, but his relentless ability to overcome any team standing in his way, solidifying his status as the GOAT.
With his latest victory over G2, Faker’s record stands at 100 international wins, a feat that places him miles ahead of the next closest player, Ruler, who has 60 wins. Faker has nearly doubled the wins of any other player, and with T1 performing so well at Worlds 2024, there’s still a long way to go in this tournament.
This remarkable achievement came at a time when T1’s qualification for Worlds 2024 was uncertain. The team narrowly secured their spot after almost losing it to KT Rolster and suffering a close defeat to DPlus KIA earlier in the year. Despite these setbacks, T1 has rallied, and Faker has once again proven his ability to persevere through adversity.
While it remains to be seen if Faker can guide T1 to another World Championship victory, one thing is certain: reaching the 100-win milestone is an achievement that may never be matched by another player in League of Legends.
