For former MOBA Mobile players, LoL Wild Rift will have familiar and new points listed below.
Top things Wild Rift similar and different from other MOBA Mobile
It is clear that LoL Wild Rift is proving itself to be a worthy opponent of many other MOBA Mobile on the market right now. However, as a late-born game, of course, Wild Rift still has to learn a lot from games like Mobile Legends, Arena of Valor, Vainglory.
All MOBA Mobile on the current market including Arena of Valor, Lien Quan Mobile, Mobile Legends all apply the reverse map. This means that you always start on the Blue team (on the bottom left), the opponent on the Red team (on the top right). The opponent also experiences the same thing on their phone (they are in the blue team, while our team is Red Team)
This is explained in order to solve the problem of “turning around the view”, because looking from the bottom up is always more beneficial than looking from the top. Even in PC MOBAs like Dota 2 or League of Legends, the problem with the team having a more convenient view (from left to right, from bottom to top), is that the odds of winning are always slightly higher than the other team.
This gap is further widened on MOBA mobile with control, and can strongly affect the win rate. Therefore, LoL Wild Rift has no other option but to use the reverse map mechanism to ensure fairness for all players.
Last hit miss still has Gold
Initially many people thought that LoL Wild Rift would apply the strict mechanics of the PC version only when you last hit completely the soldiers to have money. However, in the latest gameplay that LoL Wild Rift released, this mechanism will be changed to suit the mobile environment.
Specifically, there will be no way that players who make the final phase will receive 100% gold and experience. This gold will be allocated to surrounding players, as long as they stand within reach.
Of course, the player who farms the minions will still receive a gold advantage over those who do not make that finish. There will be a warning for gamers when the minions’s blood turns white to unleash a last hit phase.
Most of the current MOBA Mobile game products have omitted all these features to help shorten the match time, reduce the hardcore and simplify gameplay to suit many players. So the last hit feature miss still has comforting gold is retained of course.
Monsters and Dragons evolved
As mentioned, to speed up the match, LoL Wild Rift has added a lot of remarkable new mechanisms.
Among them are the Blue and Red in the late game that can evolve to give people defeat them with beneficial effects such as healing or increased damage (in the initial stage, buff and benefits they bring remain the same.)
And dragons can evolve with very significant additional stats. This enhances the role of the jungle in LoL Wild Rift, and there will be more big goals to compete on the map.
Only buy items at home
Current MOBA mobile games are applying the mid-battle buying mechanism to serve for non-stop fighting anytime and anywhere. And you only need to recall to heal.
However, with Wild Rift, this “rebirth” movement becomes much more brainstorm when players are forced to recall to buy equipment. So you have to balance between farming or pushing the lane, so when you return to the lane, you will have the advantage of item than the opponent…
However, in the opposite direction, each time you return, players will lose a large amount of gold and experience from the minions or even put their teammates into combat that lacks people. Therefore you will need to think logically for every situation
Active items to Upgrade to Boots
Other games like Arena of Valor only have a small number of action items to avoid filling the interface bar with tiny buttons on the screen. League of Legends Wild Rift this even further by integrating active items into various Upgrades for champion’s boots.
Now, although you only have one of the activation effects, they also help to differentiate the gameplay and require users to have a reasonable tactical calculation to bring the best effect in the game.
